Fiberoptics Technology Wins Export Award

July 29th, Pomfret Connecticut.

Mr. Rob Simmons, member of the House of Representatives from Connecticut’s Second District, spent nearly two hours touring Fiberoptics Technology’s Connecticut facility today. Following the tour of the company, Representative Simmons presented the employees with an Export Achievement Certificate awarded to Fiberoptics Technology by the United States Department of Commerce.
Representative Simmons praised the employees for not only increasing the volume of exports from FTI, but also for adding customers in several new countries to FTI’s export list.
The visit by Representative Simmons was conducted as part of his ongoing effort to understand what types of businesses are located in his very large district and to determine what he can do in Washington to assist them.
