PROTOTYPING

FTI's prototyping service is unmatched in the industry. No other company offers consistent turn-around on first article, prototype or concept build products.

The service is simple and carries no special charges. As long as the component is a straight forward design, built with stocked raw materials, the part will be completed and shipped 5 days after receipt of drawing approval.

Since the service was created in 1985, 91% of all prototype orders have been shipped to the customer within the 5 day timeframe. A majority of those component orders not meeting the 5 day timeframe required third party vendor support (anodizing, irriditing, chrome plating, passivating, EDM, etc.) or extensive high tolerance CNC machining. Virtually all prototype designs are completed within 10 working days after drawing approval.

As a cornerstone of its Customer Service program, FTI does not add surcharges, fees, or premiums for the service, as long as the potential exists for serial production.
